About Uciel Sola
Uciel Sola is a Buenos Aires-based software engineer with more than four years of experience building web applications, AI integrations, and frontend architecture. He works as an independent contractor with Mercanis, a Berlin-based software company, owning frontend architecture and delivery across a SvelteKit and TypeScript monorepo. The platform includes customer-facing and internal applications, shared design-system packages, and workflows used by around 25 engineers.
His work spans product delivery, architecture, third-party integrations, observability, feature flags, engineering standards, and collaboration with product and design. Earlier, he spent around three years working with Angular, including a migration from Angular 14 to 18 and a connected wellness application using Bluetooth, Capacitor, RxJS, and Firebase. He values maintainable systems, useful developer tooling, accessible interfaces, and clear communication across distributed teams.
His selected projects include ExcaliVault, a published local-first Chrome extension for Excalidraw sketches; an AI-powered portfolio with a retrieval-augmented chat, public API, and MCP server; an interactive program for La Martino Orquesta Típica; ManijaTV; and small game projects. Spanish is his native language, and he has professional working proficiency in English. For the current profile, see the full resume or GitHub.
